Foods that brighten teeth enamel

Foods that brighten teeth enamelWhile we all appear to have a fair idea of which meals can erode or discolour our teeth, knowing which foods can genuinely brighten tooth enamel can be tough. Your dentist may have previously advised you to avoid certain foods and beverages that contribute to plaque buildup, such as sweets, coffee, and red wine, as well as extremely acidic foods. There are foods that can actually brighten our teeth, and our dentist will educate you on these foods.

Dairy products

Dairy products are a fantastic way to brighten your teeth' enamel. Lactic acid, phosphorus, and calcium, all found in dairy, help to keep tooth enamel healthy. Yogurt is a particularly smart choice since the proteins in its link with teeth and protects them from acids that can cause tooth decay. Chewing hard cheeses helps remove food particles from your teeth and prevents harmful acids and plaque from clinging to your teeth, which can help protect your teeth.

Water

Sugary beverages, as many people are aware, can harm tooth enamel and your overall dental health. Acidic fruit juices cause plaque to build up faster and increase the number of bacteria in your mouth that produce acid. Soda can also have this effect, causing increased amounts of acid in your mouth and dental enamel damage. Red wine is known for staining your teeth and dulling the shine of your enamel. If you must drink wine, choose white wine or alternate sips of wine with still, filtered water. Our dentist will guide on the best foods for your enamel and how to stay healthy.
